Our TeamWe are currently a 3-person firm, including Kevin Latady, Principal; Zander Fortier, draftsperson;
and Nancy Latady, part-time Business and Marketing Manager. Depending on specific
project requirements, we also partner with a variety of consultants.
Kevin Latady, Principal
Kevin has extensive experience designing residential, historical, commercial, retail, library,
municipal and educational facilities. Prior to founding Latady Design in 2000, he worked for nine
years for the Boston architectural firms Tappe and Associates; and Amsler, Woodhouse and MacLean, both
of Boston.
Kevin previously owned a design-build firm specializing in residential, and art/photographic studio renovations. He studied art and music at Bennington College, photography at New England School of Photography, and received his architectural degree from the Boston Architectural College. Prior to beginning his design career twenty-two years ago, Kevin was a professional architectural photographer, photographic set designer, cabinet-maker, graphic artist and potter. He brings added value to client projects by drawing on his combined craftsman and artistic background to provide a holistic and reality-based understanding of the design and building process. In addition to offering his clients a vast amount of design experience and working knowledge, Kevin infuses his clients’ experience with compassion, humor and a genuine interest in listening carefully. Kevin's professional affiliations include the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as an Associate member. He is also committed to helping individuals work together for the greater community benefit. He is a member of the Bedford Historic District Commission, Board member of the Bedford Chamber of Commerce, and has served on several community design and building committees since moving to Bedford in 1999. Zander Fortier, DraftsmanZander brings to Latady Design experience in sustainable architecture, green building techniques and
materials, and sustainable development, having worked several years with Amacher and Associates
Architects, of Cambridge, MA. Prior to that he worked as a carpenter for Leclerc Builders, Ltd.,
high-end custom homebuilders and remodelers, and also for Greenway Landscaping, a landscape design-build
company, both in RI.
Zander developed an early passion for art, music and engineering, influenced by his childhood Waldorf education, and chose the field of architecture as it combined these interests. He received a B.S. in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, MA.
